I made another "Thinking of You" card today. This one is a little more complicated and takes a little more time than the last one but the finished result is well worth it. It has lots of layers and a little embossing to give it a great look. Remember you can change the colors or the sentiment to fit your taste or event. Enjoy!
You will need:
* Card Stock (I used Stampin Up)
* Patterned Paper (I used Deja Views Timeless Collection)
* Die Cut Flower (I used a flower from the K&Company Paper Flower Die Cut Pack)
* Rhinestones
* Script Cuttlebug folder
* Cuttlebug Embossing Machine
* Brown Ink
* Sentiment Stamp
* ATG
* Pop Dot
* Paper trimmer
* Corner Rounder
* Scissors
* Bone folder
Directions:
First Step: Fold card stock and use a bone folder to crease the center to make your card base. You can make this card any size you would like. I made a larger size card. Next, use a paper trimmer to cut a piece of patterned paper 2" wide by how ever wide your card is then glue down to card base about an inch from the bottom.
Second Step: Cut a piece of colored card stock about 1/2 of an inch shorter than the height of your card base then cut a coordinating piece of patterned paper about 1/2 of an inch shorter than the piece you just cut. Layer it on top of the colored card stock then glue down to card base about 3/4 of an inch from the left side of the card.
Third Step: Cut a square from card stock about 3" x 3" (or whatever size is to scale with your card) and run it thru your embossing machine. Then cut a rectangle 3" x 2 1/2" (or to scale) and glue embossed card stock piece on top leaving about 1/4 of an inch showing from underneath on the left side and top side. Glue this layered piece down to your card a little lower than center and to the right of the card about 1/4" from the edge.
Lastly: Cut a strip of card stock big enough to stamp your sentiment. Cut a v-shape out of the left side then stamp your sentiment. Let dry before adhering it to the card all the way to the left edge and to the bottom of your embossed piece. Use a pop dot or dimensional adhesive to adhere a flower right above and the the right of your sentiment. Place a rhinestone in the center of the flower and three rhinestones to the top left of the card. Round the outside two corners with a corner rounder for a nice finished look.
